Barbara Bowersock

Barbara P. Bowersock, 94, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 7:25 AM on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon, joining a family who has brightened her days for generations. Her garden was a living testament to her nurturing spirit - fresh vegetables canned with pride, shared with others.Barbara’s life was defined by cherished family. Her love extended to grandchildren Misty (Eric) Loy, Lori (Jerry) Netherlain, Terri Maxwell, Dustin (Paula) West, Tina Chamness, Leslie (Aaron) Wade, Brandy Echelberry, and Ashley (Jeremy) Followell; great-grandchildren Kaci (Kevin) Hooks, Kalynn (Dominic) Roberts, Haley West, Brianna West, Taylor Netherlain, Lexi Netherlain, Taylor Echelberry, Tori Echelberry, Brody Echelberry, Brayden Jean, and Carter Jean; and great-great grandchildren Wyatt Hooks, Elias Hooks, Lettie West, and Gracelyn Wade. The circle of her closest companions included two best friends, Carol Roush and Carol Allen, and a host of nieces and nephews who were all dear to her.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Amos Bowersock; son, Glenn Bowersock; brother, Adam Yates; and sister Mary Ethel Thompson.Barbara’s legacy lives on in the quiet, steadfast faith she modeled, the handmade keepsakes she gifted to family, and the love she poured into every relationship.A funeral service to celebrate Barbara's life will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, of Walton Funeral Service, at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, with Reverend Jim Sanders.
